This study includes the stages of use of industrial wastes in the art of painting from the Industrial Revolution to the present. With the Industrial Revolution, technology started to develop and the real revolution in art started with the use of objects as a pictorial element for the first time apart from the main elements of painting in the process from Romanticism to Cubism. This questioning area was used to reach new results by comparing the works and interpretations of artists working on similar subjects. The mental process of the thesis, which started with an analysis on the title of'' Industrial Wastes as Images in Painting'', led to the analysis of today's world, through the concepts of waste and environment, the image's own elements, the concept of image, changes in societies and art in the historical process before and after the industrial revolution. The problem area of the research is the artist's intuitive relationship with our living environment and wastes. This thesis study consists of three chapters. In the first part, the problem situation, in the second part, the social transformation processes that prepare the emergence of industrial wastes and the place of the waste materials in the art of painting and in the third part, applications, analizs and the reasons of the studies in the thesis are emphasized. '' Industrial Wastes as Images in Painting'' is tried to be explained with the definitions and quotations in the scanned sources, in the examinations within the framework of the thesis subject. Each opinion was tried to be included and eight paintings were made by considering the environment. In the pictures; plastic, iron, chemical wastes, factory wastes, etc, industrial wastes that people leave to nature were mentioned, photographs were taken and sketches were made. These sketches were made on canvas using oil painting and mixed techniques. It is thought that this research will help everyone who are into the art of painting, to interpret the relationships between environment and people, people and art.
