The use of impressionist technique ond style of painting in sea landscape

Light, color, color contrast, basics for sense of color and time factor are vitally important in impressionist esthetic. Sense of light and color is the main object of painting. Philosophers, physicians and artists have developed theories to explain and comment on the visual world which is surrounding them.In addition to researches which are done by painters, philosophers and thinkers who focused on colors, from Aristo till D. Hume and E. Mach, Goethe and A. Schopenhauer, scientific laws on light and color theory which are declared by scientists like Newton, Chevreul, A. Munsel, W. Bezold, L. Helmholtz, W. Ostwald, Leonardo Da Vinci to Kandinsky and even French engraver J.C. LeBlon?s ?Coloritto? and English engraver M. Harris?s art-scientific reviews called as ?Color Circle?, J.Albers?s book called as ? The Art of Color and Interaction of Color? prove ideal projection of impressionism in the area of philosophy, science and art. From this point of view painting is a science, a research on laws of nature. But in this research open air painters cannot show objects as if they are existing. Impression on canvas turns again to light as pure pigment, this light is not light of nature though light of art.When views of Gallipoli and Çanakkale are pictured in practice from the point of the Use of Impressionist Technique and Style of Painting in Sea Landscape in line with the perspective of technique, method and styles of impressionism in the light of philosophy and science, we see that the tireless efforts of the painter in the face of the nature do not create illusion in painting; on the contrary they create the world of designing and nature conversion process.
