Organizational values in public and private elementary schools

Value is the most important treasury for nations. Surely, that nations which depart from their value and do not transfer them to their posterity have to destroy. The most important administrative function of schools which also denote in Board of Education?s basic act is; to get students to accept the Turkish nation?s etnic, moral, human, spirutual and cultural value, to bring up positive, creative and productive individualities which have sense of resposibility to nation, poised and healthy upgrowth personality and character, upon their physique, intllect, morals, spirit and sense. One of the basic mission of family, community and school is to train up an individual which adopt basic human value. In this context, value that school have are very important. This scientific research work attempted to introduce organizational value in Public and private schools. They are as followed general value in our school in Public and private schools, the value which teachers acquire and the value which administrators acquire. According to organizational value in public and private elementary schools, value in our school, the value which teachers and administrators acquire we try to find out if there some differences in sex, profession, type of school, age, educational background , branch and having practised organizational value training or not. According to the value, it was compared with type of school if there important differences in sex, profession, teachers and administrators value which they acquire. In this research work participated both Public and Private Elemantary School 394 teachers and administrators in 2006-2007 academic year in Sakarya. After taking the poll the data analysed in SPSS packege program. For the personal information who participated in this poll was broken down frequency analysis. For the opinion about organiztional vats was broken down Crosstabs analysis and percentage value. For the contrast analysis T-test, One-Way Anova analysis and Turkey-b analysis were broken. At the and of the research work there were important differences according to the type of school and the value which teachers acquire. There are not important differences which depend on sex, duty, age, aducational background, branch and having practised organizational value training or not. It was clear that private schools are better in these 3 fields then Public schools. The first 3 vats in both Private and Public schools; for the general value in our school ?Students safety is cared, they have free atmosphere but there are school statue and guide and there are some good behaviours like student greeting each other and inquiring each others healthy when they come across? for the value which teachers acquire ? teachers are adverse to discrimination, like race, religion, cult, income floor, sex etc., honestly care about their relotionship and communication with people and care about other?s protection of respectability, for the value which administrators acquire ?Administrators take care about good relationship with enviroment, try to solve problems with communication instead of punishing teachers when they make a mistake and they make an effort to form a good atmosphere teaching and training?. In primary schools the last 3 value which are not so affective; for the general value in our school ?The school resources are used diligently by everyone and do not waste, each employes and students are conscioused of their responsibilities. There are some social events which organized by our school such as having a picknick, boarding out?, for the value which teachers aquire, ?the teacher are happy when they work deservedly, try to sort out the problems from scientific point of wiew, read periodical isues and books? for the value which administrators acquire ?The administrators consult their employes when they take a decision, consider the school employes expectation from school administration, organized work concert for teachers which have just joined to accord to the school.
