Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to search the antimicrobial activity and some biochemical properties of Ocimum basilicum (Basil) plant collected from Elazığ region by using leaf and leaf stalks. Firstly, KIN, NAA, BAP and 2,4D plant growth regulators and calluses were formed from the plant extracts prepared in different nutrient media. The antimicrobial activities of the harvested calli and basil plant were analysed by using ethanol, methanol, chloroform and ethyl acetate solvents. Antimicrobial activity was determined by using MIC method. During the aktimicrobial activity studies, 5 bacterias (Bacillus brevis, Esherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeroginesa, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus vulgaris) were used. At the end of the research, the antimicrobial effect of Ocimum basilicum plant and callus cultures ranged from 125µg/ml to 1000µg/ml. In addition, some biochemical properties of callus and basil plant were analysed using HPLC and GC devices. At the end of the research, the highest fatty acid in the plant was determined as Palmitic acid and α linolenic acid. It was observed that the fatty acid and vitamin ratios differed in the samples of the callus samples prepared with plant growth regulators at different concentrations.
