Abstract (EN)
Neoliberal globalization which is the dominating political and economic ideology across the world, has affected all social phenomena and lifestyles. Urbanization and housing production have also been affected by this process, housing has undergone structural and semantic transformation by acquiring new qualifications. 'Rezidans' and gated communities are the outputs of this transformation. Today, as housing production has transformed to a global production based on new value systems and relationship networks, 'rezidans' represents a different artifact beyond being a physical shelter. 'Rezidans culture' is a new social phenomenon in context of its architectural approach, spatial organisation and lifestyle that is presented.
