Determination of the adaption to pregnancy and affecting factors in high risky pregnancy

Abstract (EN)
This study will be a guide to identify, to eliminate and to prevent the issues which be faced in the post-partum period. To determine the adaption to the pregnancy and the factors which affect it in the high risky pregnancy, descriptive and cross-sectional researches were done. Izmir Association of Public Hospitals South Secretariat, Katip Çelebi University Atatürk Training and Research Hospital Obstetric Services and Izmir Association of Public Hospitals Northern Secretariat, Tepecik Training and Research Hospital Perinatology Services were selected as the universe of the study (N: 2235). 479 pregnancies at risk, which determined by the A Sample Selection Formula with the concern of the previous years' number of the risky pregnancies at the hospitals in point, were recruited in this study. The research data was collected between March 2014 and March 2015 period. The criterions to participate the study are; to have high risky pregnancy treatment in the permitted hospitals for the study, not having any mental illness, being able to understand and speak in Turkish, becoming a volunteer to participate to the research. Pregnant Identification Form, Prenatal Self-Evaluation Questionnaire (PSEQ) and Prenatal Attachment Inventory (PAI) are used as the data collection instruments. Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS), 16,0 software package, were used to analyse the survey. Number, percentage, Student's t-test, Variance analysis, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis Variance analysis and the correlation analysis were applied to analyses the data. As a result of the research, there is a statistically significant difference between the average rate of PSEQ and subscales, the hospital, age, educational status, employment status, marital status, the length of marriage, health insurance, family type, income class/wealth, the educational and the employment status of the partner, number of pregnancy, number of labour, the attitudes of the partner towards pregnancy, whether it is a planned pregnancy, gestational week, previous pregnancy problems, whether woman have any the chronic illness and prenatal attachment (p<0,05). In the study, a low negative correlation was found between PSEQ and PAI (r=- 0,457, p<0.05). According to this result, when PSEQ score decrease, PAI score increase. With reference to, the results showed that adaptation of pregnancy increase with growing attachment of pregnancy. As a result of this study; there are many factors which influence the adaption to pregnancy in high risky pregnancy. To increase the acceptance of pregnancy in high risky pregnancy, nurses can provide a reduction of the problems which occur during pregnancy and postpartum period.
