Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to evaluate prenatal attachment and prenatal distress in women with and without risky pregnancy. The universe of the study consists of pregnant women who are 20 weeks or older and applied to the Hatay Training and Research Hospital Gynecology Service. The forms used in the research; The pregnant woman information sheet is the prenatal attachment inventory (PBI) and the Tilburg distress in pregnancy scale (TGSS). The sample of the study consists of 59 risky and 59 non-risky pregnant women. In the analysis of the data in the research; frequency analysis, Independent Sample-t and ANOVA test method were used. The mean PSI score of the risky pregnancy group was considerably lower than the mean PSI score of the group without risky pregnancy, and the difference between the groups was found to be significant. The mean TGSS score of the high-risk pregnancy group was considerably higher than the mean score of the TGSS scale of the group without a risky pregnancy, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant. In the study, it was determined that there was a statistically significant relationship between the mean PSI scores of the pregnant women in the risky pregnancy group according to the variables of spouse participation, negative affect, education level, health insurance, income level, and family relationship status. It was determined that there was a statistically significant relationship between the mean PSI scores of the pregnant women in the non-risk pregnancy group according to the variables of spouse participation, education level, spouse education level, income level, number of living children, planned pregnancy status and desired delivery type. As a result of the research, it was determined that prenatal attachment levels were low in the risky pregnancy group, and the distress levels in pregnancy were high while; the prenatal attachment levels of the group without risky pregnancy were high and the distress levels during pregnancy were low. It is recommended to determine prenatal attachment and distress levels during pregnancy, especially in pregnant women with risky pregnancies, and to conduct training/counseling activities on prenatal attachment and distress during pregnancy by healthcare professionals.
