The investigation of bacterial pathogens in hatchery systems of some trout farms in Rize province

Abstract (EN)

In the scope of this thesis, water, eggs, alevin and fry samples were taken from the incubation systems of 11 different trout farming hatchery systems in Rize between November 2016 and April 2017. In these examples, bacterial contamination was investigated by using solid and liquid general media and the isolated bacteria were identified by molecular methods. As a result of the study, bacterial isolations were determined as 16 strains in fry individuals, 8 strains in inlet water, 8 strains in eyed eggs, 6 strains in not eyed eggs and 3 strains in alevin. The majority of bacteria belong to the genera Aeromonas and Pseudomonas, as well as Lelliottia sp., Bacillus sp. and Lactococcus lactis species were isolated from incubation systems. As a result of the study, it was determined that Rize Province aquaculture facilities are highly contaminated in terms of bacterial pathogens.
