Özet (EN)

The demand of air transportation has been increasing rapidly and therefore it's seen that the airports could be built in order to give an air traffic services. Hence, it is necessary to use airports and airspace in efficient and effective way to provide safe, fast and regular air traffic flows. Especially, departure and landing operations at airports located on mountainous areas and high terrains are compelling. Therefore, designing efficient and effective arrival procedures are important. Today, it is possible to provide safe flight operations to mountainous areas with performance-based navigation (PBN) methods instead of ground based navigation methods. PBN is a new method based on avionics system in aircraft whose performances are a necessity for flight from one ground based navigation point to another. Required Navigation Performance Authorization Required Approach (RNP AR APCH) one of the PBN approach procedures including initial approach segment to missed approach segment provides a consistently stable guideline for approaches onto mountain airport using fixed radius turns at any point of the procedure. In this study, the RNP AR approach procedure is intended to be designed for the Kahramanmaras Airport 25 runway, which is located in the mountainous area, by designing the RF leg for the initial and intermediate approach segment of the current approach procedure. In addition, an available approach procedure and a proposed RNP AR approach procedure will be compared and evaluated in terms of flight time, flight distance and fuel consumption.
