The role of the media in shaping the political awareness of people regarding the palestinian issue

This study aims to highlight the role of media in shaping public awareness of the Palestinian cause by focusing on Palestinian, Arab, Turkish, Israeli and Western media; past and present and the changes that have occurred over the years towards the Palestinian issue. The study gives answers to several questions, the most important of which are: How do various types of media deal with the Palestinian cause? What are the difficulties that Palestinian journalists face while working? How do we explain the differences among countries, generations and time frames in terms of political awareness of the Palestinian cause, especially during the current war that started on October 7, 2023? It also highlights the international support for Palestine, mentioning the great role of the media and platforms and its effect on the world, showing the role of American students in pressuring the American government to stop supporting Israel and stop the genocide in Gaza. The study shows the role of the Israelis media in misleading the facts by showing some samples as the Spokesman of the Israeli Army, and how the political problems and civil wars in the Middle East have affected the Palestinian cause. The study also sheds light on the Turkish media both the left and right media toward the Palestinian cause. I used the qualitative approach in this research including research methods like previous studies, previous master's theses, surveys, books articles and journals to study the media influences and impact on public awareness of the Palestinian cause.
