Abstract (EN)
Social media now play a very important role in the circulation of rumours and alternative or activist information, and in influencing public opinion. In the new Congolese crisis, they are serving as channels for reporting "crimes against humanity" perpetrated on Congolese soil. The "fighters" and "members of the Resistance" are organising themselves in order to denounce all state crimes, crimes against humanity, corruption and injustices which are being committed in the Democratic Republic of Congo. From among these fighters and members of the Resistance, some opinion leaders have emerged and are taking it upon themselves to plan protest marches in order to spur the international community to take action to bring this tragedy in the Democratic Republic of Congo to an end.
