Özet (EN)

The study examined the effects of self-esteem and gender roles approach on the relationship between psychological violence that women were exposed to in their romantic relationships and depression, anxiety and stress. The study included 220 female university students above the age of 18. The participants filled out the following forms: Personal Information Form, Psychological Violence in Close Relationships, Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale, Rosenberg's Self-esteem Inventory, and Cultural Gender Roles Approach. The findings were analyzed using the SPSS-27 Statistics Package. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the mediator role of self-esteem in the relationship between psychological violence and psychological health. The results showed that self-esteem has a partial mediation effect. Another multiple regression analysis was conducted to investigate the moderator role of gender roles approach in the relationship between psychological violence and psychological health. Gender roles approach did not have a moderation effect.
