Abstract (EN)
Currently, energy has become one of the most important problems all over the world. Due to the fossil sources decreasing day by day, people are interested in looking for new sources of energy. Ancient times of renewable energy resources, wind was used for irrigation in flour mills. With the advance of the technology, it was started to generate elektricity from the wind energy.In this study, wind turbines are explained and then the varieties of the wind turbine are represented. The relationship between airfoil and wind was examined. It is very important to use right airfoil profile Because we need to derive benfit from airfoil maximal.Engineering design industry demands faster and more practical topology optimization methods. Evolutionary structural optimization has been introduced as a simple and effective method for size, shape and topology optimization. The wide range of ESO applications have become proof of its versatility and its potential as a design tool.ESO is a relatively new design tool used to improve and optimize the design of structures. It is a heuristic method where a few elements of an initial design domain of finite elements are iteratively removed. Such a process is carried out repeatedly until an optimum design is achieved, or until a desired given area or volume is reached.In this study, an optimization program performing evolutionary structural optimization has been used and optimum design of beams under various loading and support conditions has been searched. The optimization program has been used in PARETO ACADEMIC. By the optimization progress considering von Mises stresses of the structure, relatively fully stressed and truss-like designs have been achieved and however, the final designs have shown weight saving up to 30-40% compared to the initial design.In last chapter topology optimization will be mentioned in all aspects with many cases and main aim of this study will be summarized.
