The vocabulary of Sabahattin Ali's novel "Kürk Mantolu Madonna" -review, dictionary-

In this study, it was aimed to research and establish the vocabulary of Sabahattin Ali's novel Kürk Mantolu Madonna. In preliminary preparation academic studies and works about Sabahattin Ali was researched. Vocabulary is the most important tool that reflects the culture of a language. In this study, first of all, information is given about the vocabulary. The existence of the proverbs, idioms, reduplications and daily greetings, in vocabulary was established. While establishing them, examples of the proverbs, idoms, reduplicantion and daily greetings were given from the novel. Lastly, in Index, the words in the novel were subjected to etymology review to determine their meanings and locate them. Cibakaya programme was used for creating the Index. While the meanings of the words explained, it was made use of the Kubbealtı Dictionary and the Turkish Language Association Distionary. In source part the refences that guided our study were listed.
