Abstract (EN)

The Islamic religion places great importance on the family, which forms the foundation of society, and has established certain rules for the formation of the family. Some provisions of family law may vary among different Islamic schools of thought. This study compares the differences between the Shafi'i and Zahiri schools of thought regarding family law and examines the evidence supporting their views. This research is divided into sections, including the introduction, literature review, materials and methods, data and analysis, and conclusion. In the introduction section, the subject, significance, purpose, and scope of the research are discussed. The literature review section covers the main sources used in this study. The materials and methods section describes the materials used in the research and the methodology followed. The data and analysis section provides an overview of the issues on which these two schools of thought differ, such as the marriage contract, engagement, wedding feast (walima), custody in marriage, witnessing, dowry (mehr), and divorce (talaq). The research also examines the evidence and perspectives presented by each school regarding their respective views. In the conclusion section, the findings and recommendations resulting from this study are discussed.
