Abstract (EN)
This study aims to identify the levels of depression and burnout in healthcare professionals at Igdir State Hospital in terms of certain demographical variables. The levels of depression and burnout were studied here as they relate to such variables as sex, age, civil status, number of children, professional title, income level, educational level and working time. 124 persons selected randomly among the Igdir State Hospital personnel have partipated in this study. The study used "Beck Depression Scale" and "Maslach Burnout Scale", as well as "Socio-Demographical Datasheet", as data collection tools. SPSS 20.0 package program was used in data analysis. Results of the analyses made have pointed to a significant variation in terms of the age, number of children, educational level, professional title and income level variables in the personal achievement sub-dimension of the burnout level in the participating healthcare personnel. However, no significant variation was found in terms of the sex, age, civil status, number of children, educational level, professional title, working time and income levelvariables in the emotional burnout and desensitization sub-dimensions of burnout level. The study also found that depression levels are not significant in terms of the variables. Keywords : Depression, Burnout, Health
