The effect of presentism on the relationship between burnout syndrome and life satisfaction in healthcare workers

The am of this study is to analyze whether there is a significant relationship between burnout syndrome and life satisfaction levels of healthcare workers with presentezim and its sub-dimensions. In addition, it is to examine the effect of socio-demographic characteristics of the participants on presentism and its sub-dimensions. The sample size in this study is 58 women and 58 men, totally 116 people. Questionnaire-data collection method was used in the study. The questionnaire prepared for this purpose included Sociodemographic data form, Maslach Burnout Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale, Presenteism Scale. The findings obtained from the study showed that the variable most associated with the presentismism levels of healthcare professionals was emotional burnout. On the other hand, considering the effect of demographic characteristics on presentism and its sub-dimensions, the increase in educational status affects the increase of presentism and job completion attitudes. Sufficient solutions are produced when there are problems in the workplace and education level explains 29.2% of the change on presentism. Education status explains 24.4% of the change on job completion. The variable of thinking that adequate solutions are produced when there are problems in the workplace explains 20.4% of the change in the dimension of avoiding distractions.
