Abstract (EN)

Occupational diseases that cause harm to society and the individual in all aspects occur due to causes caused by working conditions and working people in the working environment. Many factors at work are the most basic elements in the occurrence of occupational diseases. We can collect them in three main headings: chemical, biological and psychological. Deficiencies in occupational health and safety in working conditions of workplaces or failure to fulfill the responsibilities of the employer and the employee to perform constitute dangerous situations and behaviors for occupational diseases. When employees go to hospitals for examination, the working doctors are not fully aware that the incoming person's illness may be related to the work for which he works, and perceive them as a general health problem. For this reason, the employee continues to work in the same job, perhaps under more severe conditions, not knowing that his illness is caused by his job. In order to create positive changes in the behavior of working people, providing training to employees on occupational health and safety issues is becoming one of the most important issues. Many employers or employees believe that education is not a preventive approach and therefore is not effective in reducing occupational diseases. However, the studies and researches conducted predict that the number of occupational diseases will decrease with the awareness raising of education.
