Abstract (EN)

Cognitive, affective and behavioral approach of medical personnel about radiation and RENT (Radiological Examination and Nuclear Test) has substantial importance both for the personnel himself and the patient receiving medical service. In this study, Likert scale with four factors and qualitative data collecting tool with 8 factors, composed of 18 items, significant for 64,5 of the sample, with reliability coefficient of 0,914 (Cronbach's Alpha) employed to determine the attitude of medical personnel regarding radiation. Mixed-scale has been delivered to the medical personnel in Turkish medical institutions properly and within ethical limits, attending one-on-one meetings and with online-delivery. After scale development process, the scale implemented on 236 medical personnel and the results has been analyzed with the statistical tool. On four-factor likert scale, significant difference observed on the data according to the profession, department, gender, institution and the experience of the staff. The results obtained with eight item qualitative data collecting tool supported the results obtained by the four-factor likert scale.
