Abstract (EN)
This thesis study was conducted to examine the mandatory organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and quality of working life (QWL) of healthcare professionals. The study, conducted through a face-to-face survey with 312 healthcare professionals in a public hospital in Antalya, is descriptive and crosssectional. The data were obtained with the "Introductory Information Form", "Compulsory Citizenship Scale (ZVÖ)" and "Health Personnel Quality of Working Life Scale (SPÇYKÖ)". Statistical analysis of the data was done using the program SPSS (IBM Statistics 27). According to the results of the study; The total ZVÖ scores of those under 50 years of age, those who have been working in the institution for less than 5 years, those whose income level is defined as medium or poor, those who consider the salary they receive as inadequate, those who do not enjoy their job and do not plan to continue it, and those who do not feel that they belong to the institution they work for, were found to be high. In-service training is beneficial for those who work in administrative units, those who have more than 15 years of professional experience, those who work only during the day, those who work in managerial positions, those who define their income status as medium or good, those who consider the salary they receive sufficient, those who love their profession and plan to continue their profession, and those who feel that they belong to the institution they work for. SPÇYKÖ scores of those who think and see themselves in a higher position were found to be higher. Also in the study; A negative, very weakly significant relationship was detected between ZVÖ total scores and SPÇYKÖ total scores (p<0.05). As a result, it was determined that as healthcare professionals' perceptions of OCB increased, their QWL decreased. It is envisaged that in order to improve the quality of working life of healthcare professionals, it may be beneficial to make regulations to prevent them from exhibiting mandatory organizational citizenship behaviors. In this context, job descriptions of each professional group can be clarified, patient-health worker ratios can be improved, and wage policies can be reviewed. Conducting the research in larger sample groups and specific professional groups (such as nurses, physicians) using qualitative and quantitative methods together may contribute to revealing the relationship between these two concepts and the results of this relationship in more detail.
