Work accidents and occupational diseases threaten the health of all employees in the world. Health services are one of the areas of work that pose significant risks to health and safety. In many areas of health care, especially those working in hospitals, they face the biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic and psychosocial risks that affect their health negatively. The economic and social loss workers who are suffering from work accidents and occupational diseases that are exposed to the health workers in our country are affecting the family and the government negatively. Work accidents that health workers are most exposed to are impact, fall, cutter injuries and violence. They are exposed to occupational disease risks due to infection, chemical substances, radiation, biological agents, skin problems, and diseases in hospital conditions. This study examines the safety of health workers, what are the implications of working environment- related risks and hazards and their level of anxiety over employees. The cross-sectional and descriptive type of this study is composed of 200 health workers working in the state hospital of Kızıltepe district of Mardin between June-July 2016. The entire universe was included in the study but reached 175 people. The correct number of these is 154. Survey data were obtained from participants' socio- demographic characteristics, work- related risk and hazard scales, health worker safety score, and beck anxiety questionnaire
