Home health care as part of health services (The sample of public hospitals in the centre of Diyarbakir province)

Home health care is to provide social care services with a professional understanding in an organized way at home or within the environment where patient lives with the aim of rehabilitating and making the patient healthy again. In the first chapter of this study, health and health care services are evaluated theoretically. In the second chapter, Home Health Care is examined. Related books, articles, publications, dissertations and congress resources are handled. With the data obtained and evaluations, the theoretical part of the study is formed. In the third and final part, the home health services in the center of Diyarbakir Province are examined. In the study, firstly the literature review is carried out and then with the permission of related institutions the files of the cases they follow are examined retrospectively and the demographic information of the patients is tried to be reached. The patient's caregivers are asked to give information about their registration to the system, their satisfaction and desires via telephone or face to face, if it is possible, by a survey of 50 questions. The analysis is performed with SPSS 17.0 reviews. As a result of our study, it is concluded that most of the employees are uneducated in home health care; among them there are not any psychologists, physiotherapists or social workers and most of them are employed involuntarily.
