Abstract (EN)
The pharmaceutical profession, which is directly concerned with human health, is as old as human history and is currently classified as a primary health care service that operates in the field of sales from past to present. Pharmacies, where the procurement, supply, production, and storage of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical health products are performed, differ from retailing areas, in that they serve as health institutions, on design and identity scales. This distinction is also reflected in the interior and exterior designs of pharmacies, and thus their spatial identities are also affected. No detailed study has been found in which pharmacies, which play an important role in human health and life, are examined in terms of interior architecture and design. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the parameters of space identity that make up the pharmacy design according to the identity elements consisting of the exterior, interior shell, interior settlement, and user elements by choosing actual pharmacies from different locations as such pharmacies on the street or in the neighbourhood, pharmacies close to health institutions, and pharmacies in shopping centers. In this context, by also considering the Regulation on Pharmacists and Pharmacies, the pharmacy design and the factors that make up the space identity were examined in detail in three selected pharmacies with similar square meters, and identity elements were compared according to the location factor. As a result, in light of the data obtained from the samples examined, the space identity parameters that define each of the identity elements have been determined.
