Abstract (EN)
This study focuses on quality management in medical services sector. Quality management consists of meeting, sustaining and improving quality standards with employee participation and it is an integration of systems which ensures the satisfaction of users. Quality management in medical services aims to increase the performance of the organizations through continuous improvement of services while keeping the minimum level of expenses; and meeting the needs and expectations of service users. In this research, survey method is used. This study explains the transfer of quality management philosophy to medical services. In order to do this, the first section contains explanations for the notions of health, illness, quality management, medical services and quality management in medical services. In the second section, a brief history, scope and principles of quality management; the benefits and successes of quality management in medical services; and hospital quality committees are explained. The last section contains Health Transformation Program and its components, quality and enacting process; iv National Quality System and its standards and preparation; the actions of quality institutionalization
