Communication in health institutions: The patient-health personnel communication

The aim of study; How communication has been established with health care providers and patients in health institutions is being examined and the effects of this communication on institution's image and the likely of positive or negative results over the institution are being analyzed. For this purpose, this study planned in three parts. In the first part, the description of communication and information about it is given. In the second part, communication between the health care providers and patients in health institutions. In the third part, patient rights and professional ethics are explored. In this study, the historian methods and literature review technique were utilized accordingly. However, Professional knowledge, experience and observations are being stated in the part of the study in which the communication between the patients and medical staffs is examined. In this study, the concept of communication, elements, types, channels and tools is pointed out and it is examined under three parts as corporate communications, health care institutions and communication between the health care providers and patients. The communication in the institutions determines the working order by systematically and examines in hierarchical manner. The communication in health institutions, besides the interaction between health care providers and patient, includes patient rights and professional ethics.
