Abstract (EN)

Health, a service area, directly affects the lives of people and society, contributes to the quality of the labor factor and as a whole, impacts on the economic performance through the investment, employment and production. These direct and indirect effects, requires knowledge of the level of efficiency of hospitals which are the analysis of the health sector enterprises that make up the value issues. State hospitals are institutions using public funds. Knowledge of this resource, as well as how efficiently those used in spite of the increasing number of private health institutions will contribute to the determination of the efficiency of health policies more. In this study, as a whole, productivity analysis of the hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health which designated by the Ministry of Health in Turkey Classification of Regional Units for Statistics (CRUS) was based on data envelopment analysis approach. Number of beds in the evaluation of efficiency analysis of regions, the number of specialist physicians and general practitioners used as input variables such as the number and the number of operations, the number of patients treated in the outpatient clinic and Number of Days was used as output variables. This analysis aimed at providing health care services of regions which is done at the regional level efficiency of resource allocation and performance measurement activities.?
