Abstract (EN)
The health workers have been selected from individuals who works in 2 training and research hospitals in Istanbul and voluntarily participated in the research. Within this scope, 269 health workers were included in the study. The Pitsburg Sleep Quality Scale developed by Buysse, Reynolds, Monk, Berman and Kupfer (1989) was used to determine the sleep quality of participants in the aim of the study and Maslach Burnout Scale, developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and adapted to Turkish by İnce and Şahin (2015), was used to determine occupational burnout levels of the participants. The scores obtained from Pittsburg Sleep Quality and Maslach Burnout scales have been compared in terms of sex, education status, monthly income, age, occupation, working department, occupational seniority and keeping/not keeping vigil variables, alchool addiction and pet feeding. FINDINGS AND RESULTS Findings have shown that the sleep quality of health workers is not adequate.Sleep quality in the same way doesnt show difference in terms of gender, education status, monthly income, age, occupation and occupational seniority. On the other hand, the participants' sleep quality differentiate in terms of the working department and keeping/not keeping vigil variables. Participants' burnout perceptions were found moderate, and desensitization and personal failure perceptions were found low. It was also observed that the burnout levels of the participants differed according to the demographic, working conditions and duration of work. Finally, significant correlations were found between sleep quality and burnout levels of health workers.
