Evaluating the satisfaction of the operating room personel in the health sector

Workers contentment has great importance in the hospital and healthcare industries that need a sustainable and high quality patient pleasure. Health care workers face under stress for a long time period. Operating rooms are one of such hard working zones of health care professionals. These are working environment facilities including physical, chemical, psychological and biological factors with effect human health and comfort. In the present prospective study, there are seven different parameters were investigated for doctors, nurses, anesthesia technicians and staff for their working contentment level. A survey prepared after extensive literature review. It includes 25 questions for operation room workers in Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital with Kağıthane State Hospital. 100 workers were completed questionnaire. SPSS 22.0 software was used for statistical analysis, Kolmogrow-Smirow test was used for variants. Man-Whitney u test used for numerical analyses, Ki square and Fischer were used for quality analyses. There are 75% of the operation rooms workers have gratified on their working environment. They mainly suffer low quality of equipment and air condition in the working area (p<0.05). 75% of workers accept that injury by surgical tools is increasing by time of the surgery. The 25% of the workers they non-favored to working in the operation theatre thought surgical tool injury and its relation with operation time is more meaningful (p<0.05). This group has a higher incidence of the thinking there is no radiation-protection policy against x-ray tools by the hospital management, also they have increased higher psychological side effects, headache, anxiety and nausea (p<0.05). The gratified group was found a less problematic with the hospital management (p<0.05).
