Gender perception of health tourism employees: The case of Antalya province

Özet (EN)

This study aims to measure the gender perception of people working in health facilities (hospitals, medical centers, clinics and other health facilities) authorized by the Ministry of Health in Antalya. Study; It consists of sections: health tourism, gender, method, findings, discussion, results and recommendations. The study is a quantitative research and the survey method was used as the data collection tool. The survey used consists of two parts: "Socio-Demographic Information Form" and "Gender Perception Scale". The participants of the study consist of a total of 417 people, men and women, working in health tourism facilities in Antalya. The data was analyzed with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 22, Jamovi 2.3 package programs and Microsoft Excel program, and the results were tabulated and interpreted. As a result of the research, it was concluded that there is a significant relationship between the variables of gender, duty, hearing about the concept of gender, knowing the meaning of the concept of gender, thinking that there is gender-based discrimination in the workplace, and the gender perception score. It was concluded that there is no significant relationship between the variables of marital status, education, profession, having children, income, income satisfaction, seniority, workplace selection preferences, thinking that there is gender-based discrimination in salary at work, and the gender perception score. In the discussion, conclusion and suggestions section of the study, the results of the research were mentioned and suggestions on the subject were presented.
