Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine the levels of organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation among managers of healthcare facilities holding a health tourism authorization certificate, and to evaluate these levels in the context of healthcare hospitality services. The study analyzed the relationships between managers' levels of organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation, and examined the relationship and effects of these factors on healthcare hospitality services. In addition, the differences and effects of managers' demographic and professional characteristics on these variables were investigated. The research was carried out with 248 healthcare managers selected through a simple random sampling method across Türkiye. Overall, the demographic and professional characteristics of managers did not exhibit statistically significant associations with their levels of organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation. Nevertheless, organizational ambidexterity varied significantly by managerial tenure and the type of healthcare institution, whereas entrepreneurial orientation showed significant differentiation based on the nature of managerial responsibilities. According to the research findings, the results of the correlation analysis revealed positive and significant relationships among the variables of organizational ambidexterity, entrepreneurial orientation, and healthcare hospitality services. Regression analysis indicated that organizational ambidexterity had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial orientation, while both organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation had positive and significant effects on healthcare hospitality services. The mediation analysis revealed that entrepreneurial orientation did not have a statistically significant mediating role in the relationship between organizational ambidexterity and healthcare hospitality services. This finding indicates that organizational ambidexterity directly influences healthcare hospitality services, but this effect does not occur indirectly through entrepreneurial orientation. Furthermore, when examining the influence of managers' demographic and professional characteristics on organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation, no significant effects were observed - except for the type of healthcare facility, which had a significant and positive impact on organizational ambidexterity. The research findings indicate that the levels of organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation among managers of healthcare institutions holding a health tourism authorization certificate have a significant impact on the quality of healthcare hospitality services. In this regard, it is recommended that training programs for healthcare managers be enhanced with more comprehensive and structured content, particularly focusing on the development of organizational ambidexterity and entrepreneurial orientation competencies. Integrating training modules that enable managers to specialize in these areas into their professional development processes could make a substantial contribution to improving the effectiveness of healthcare hospitality services. This approach would allow managers operating in the health tourism sector to exercise more effective and efficient leadership.
