This study examines the contributions of Shah Waliullah and his family to the field of tafsir. It explores their understanding of tafsir and translation, their influence on the revival and reform movements of the 18th century, and their contributions to Qur'anic sciences. The study aims to analyze the lives and works of Shah Waliullah Dihlawi and his sons, Shah Abdulaziz, Shah Rafiuddin, and Shah Abdulqadir, from various perspectives to highlight their impact on tafsir. The research consists of an introduction, three main chapters, and a conclusion. The introduction presents the subject, scope, objectives, methodology, and sources of the study. The second chapter examines Shah Waliullah's views on Qur'anic sciences, such as asbab al-nuzul, nasikh-mansukh, uslub al-Qur'an, muhkam-mutashabih, and i'jaz al-Qur'an, as presented in al-Fawz al-Kabir, along with his Persian and Urdu translations. The third chapter provides a detailed analysis of Shah Waliullah's works in tafsir, comparing the translations, style, use of parentheses, and interpretations of certain Qur'anic concepts by Shah Waliullah and his sons.
