Abstract (EN)

Said Pasha (1832-1891), who was a member of a family from Diyarbakir, was busy with many sciences besides being a statesman. One of these sciences has been logic. He wrote his views on logic in his work called Hulâsa-i Mantık. Although Hulâsa-i Mantık is small in volume, it is a very comprehensive work in terms of content. The subject of this study is the examination of Said Pasha's logic views within the framework of Hulâsa-i Logic and the translation of the work into Türkiye Turkish. The aim of the study is to examine Said Pasha's understanding of logic, his contributions to the history of Turkish thought in the field of logic, within the framework of his work Hulâsa-i Mantık, and to translate the work into Türkiye Turkish. Our study consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. In the first part of our study, what logic is, its history, Said Pasha's life, the definition of logic and his contributions to the history of Turkish thought are discussed. In the second part, the work called Hulâsa-i Mantık has been evaluated. In the third chapter, Hulâsa-i Man-tık, which was latinized by Kudret Büyükçoşkun, was translated into Türkiye Turkish.
