Özet (EN)

A total of 19 genotypes of Saimbeyli tomatoes were evaluated for morphological characterization during the vegetative growth stage, examining 36 traits outlined by UPOV. Additionally, fruit traits such as average weight, size, diameter, volume, Soluble Solids Content (SSC), Vitamin C, total phenols, and total phenolic compounds were analyzed. Among the 19 genotypes, average fruit weight ranged from 216.90 g to 269.99 g, diameter from 71.05 mm to 87.62 mm, length from 51.48 mm to 60.63 mm, volume from 225.00 cm3 to 292.08 cm3, and firmness from 2.53 to 3.27 kg/cm3. SSC ranged from 3.30% to 4.67%, titratable acidity from 1.27% to 2.14%, pH of fruit juice from 4.57 to 5.30, total phenolic compounds from 65.0 mg GA/100 G TA to 152.66 mg GA/100 G TA, total flavonoids from 48.57 mg RU/100 G TA to 89.42 mg RU/100 G TA, and Vitamin C content from 33.02 mg/100 g to 39.04 mg/100 g. In conclusion, the indigenous variety of Saimbeyli tomatoes was characterized in terms of plant and fruit traits and documented. Future studies could focus on its commercial development.
