Space in Sait Faik Abasıyanık's story book of Semaver

The aim of this study is to reveal the units of language which are included in the story book of Sait Faik Abasıyanık and named Semaver. The aim of this course is to describe the spatial relations between these language units and to explain the results of spatial relations. In the introductory part of the study, the definitions of space made by various disciplines are emphasized by searching the answer of the question "What is space?". The lexical language units related to space, which is the subject of study of many sciences such as linguistics, philosophy, geography and anthropology, were identified and their definitions were made. In the following chapters, the spatial relationships between these words are described by identifying the words that indicate the space in the work. Language characteristics that help to describe space are determined and general characteristics of space are tried to be determined. In the conclusion part, on the basis of the words declaring the space in the work, the ways of giving space, the language units indicating the space and the relations between these language units are presented. Research method was used as a research method. It is tried to reach a certain conclusion about the general characteristics of space based on the words in the story book. The universe of the study is the story book called Semaver. The sample is the units of language in the story book. Keywords: Space, Spelling Language Units, Spatial Relations
