Abstract (EN)

In geology, marbles are rocks formed by recrystallization of natural rocks such as dolomitic limestones after transformation. In trade, marbles represent rocks that can be cut, polished and dimensioned to the desired size. The aim of the study, physico-mechanical features in Saklıkent-Korkuteli regions marbles, interpreted according to the standard of Turkey and identify the problems encountered in epoxy application, which is a marble plate repair process, and to offer solutions. According to the geochemical results obtained by making XRF analysis of the samples taken from the marble quarry, geostatistical evaluations were made. In both types of marble obtained from the marble quarry, it was concluded that the weight loss, compressive strength, bending and wear resistance values after frost meet Ts 1910 coating and Ts 10449 natural building stone standards. It also shows that the water content of the marble slab during epoxy application, the selection of the post-epoxy mesh, the epoxy expiration date, the frequency of change of the staff working in the epoxy line and the number of epoxy treated plates daily.
