For this aim, topographicmaps of 1/5.000 scale, soil maps of 1/25.000 scale and IRS-1C Satellite data (IndianSatellite) dated 3 November 1996 have been used.The study region has been related between present and ancient land use byusing the creating database. As a result of this study, advices and suggestions forimproving the national economy on land and agricultural use without negativelyeffecting the cultural and natural riches of the area have been interpreted.Keywords: Archaeology, Salamis, Remote Sensing, Geographical InformationSystem, Land use.II
