Abstract (EN)

In this study, soybean (Glycine max L.), which has high importance, was used as plant material. This study was conducted to determine the tolerance level of the plant against salt stress by applying Salisilic acid to the soybean plant and to observe the physical and chemical changes in the plant. The study was carried out in the climate room of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops in 2019. In the research, İlksoy soybean variety seeds was used as material. The experiment was carried out in 4 factorial orders according to the Factorial Completely Randomized Design. In the research, four different Salisilic acid doses (0, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 mM) and 3 different NaCl salt doses (0, 150 and 300 mM) were used. In the study, root length, stem length, root fresh weight, stem fresh weight, root dry weight, stem dry weight, leaf area, chlorophyll content, ion leakage in leaf tissues, lipid peroxidation level (MDA), relative water content and membrane resistance in leaf tissues were determined. Properties such as index were also examined. Results showed that salt strees decreasedshoot fresh and dry weight root and shoot length, leaf area, membrane endurance index and chlorophyll content. On the other hand, lipid peroxidation levels (MDA) and ion leakage in leaf tissues substance amount were increased. The damages occurring on the plants due to the nrgative effects of salts stress can be reduced by the effect of salicylic acid.
