Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis, dosimetric properties of polycrystalline SrGd2O4, SrGd2O4:xSm (x = 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 mass%) and SrGd2O4:xEu (x = 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 3 mass%) phosphors synthesized via solid state reaction are extensively studied. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermoluminescence (TL) were used to examine the structural and dosimetric properties of the synthesized phosphors, respectively. In the TL study, main TL dosimetry properties were investigated using samples exposed to beta radiation (90Sr/90Y) and optimal TL bandpass filters, optimal doping concentrations, linear dose ranges, behavior under varying heating rates (VHR), reusability quality, and electron trap parameters were determined. It was found that Sm+3 and Eu+3 have the most optimum value for increasing the TL intensity of undoped SrGd2O4. The IRSL-TL broadband filter was suggested as the best filter to handle both doping levels. The traps parameters, namely activation energy (E) , order of kinetics (b) and freqeuncey factor (s) were estimated using the various heating rate (VHR), the initial rise (IR), the CGCD.
