Abstract (EN)
The base target of this thesis is to transfer the 3 dimension items to the virtual environment and adding them functionality. The studies on virtual reality have been going on in a wide range (like education, health, transport, industry etc.). That is why the studies proceeded by evaluating the new methods in computer graphics and the software and programs used there in.Since the calculated power increased while modeling and deforming the items, importance was given to the usage of geometric items. The items not having smooth division and surface except the geometrical items are modeled by being divided into triangular network structure. OpenGL and 3D graphic program is used in modeling. Manipulation of 3D items is provided with haptic device by adding functions like color, light, movement, texture mapping, to them. Simulation studies have been done in the further parts of the thesis related with the deformation of the modeled items. In another part of the study, the items are tried to be adapted according to the molecular modeling with a triangular structure. The particle (atom) method gained from the molecular modeling, is used in the deformation of modeling. In molecular modeling the network structure of items are connected with neural network. In the calculation of inner powers in the structure of the items subject to deformation, CMAC neural network is algorithm is developed. In the virtual environment the items are tried to be simulated with their similar features in physical world. Real time touch sense is provided on the items where Haptic device interaction is provided. By following the studies that are developed in computer graphics area and the developed methods, new studies are carried on about artificial neural network that adds a new dimension to the calculations in molecular modeling and deformation of items.
