Art education courses creative drama activities

The aim of this study is to try to identfy art educators? conditions and circumstances to practise creative drama activities in Fine Arts High Schools via educators? ideas.Scanning method was used in this study. Related data was gathered through literature scanning and information collecting forms. FAHSs? painting departments formed this study group, selected one school from each reageon and the teachers of these schools consist of the examples. While collecting data of this study, five and four scale data collecting form, developed by the researcher, was used. In analising the data gathered %, f and aritmatic average was cared fort o reflect disribution of the opinions. T test was utilised to point out whether or not there is any difference between art educators? personel knowledge and creative drama practice.Looking at the findings of the study, it was seen that art educators respect creative drama as an affective method and use it as far as they know. Most art educators did not ever receive education about creative drama and wish to have more knowledge and experience about it. No important difference between educators? professional status and levels of education and their using creative drama was found. But, it was seen that those who took courses, seminars etc. about creative drama used related activities more. Benefitting from these findings, suggestions have been made to eliminate deficiencies of art educators on creative drama and scientific research in this subject that will be carried out in the future.Keywords: Art Education, Fine Arts High Schools, Creative Drama
