The toy design as artistic form

In this study it was approsched among play, toy as play object and art relations. In the first chapter of the study which called ? The Form Of Toy?, it was trakled the historical change of toy since the ancien ages until 21.century.In the ancient ages toys seem icons and the objects which will accompany the life after the death. The votive objects which are used on the purpose of rituel served in the religious ceremonies and then the objects were gave to children for play. In this era it was used clays, stones, bones, dried fruits and wood etc. in toys.In the middle age the toys were usually made by clays, wood and wax. And in this era toy industry was not develop. The toy production by the artificers contine until the industrial revoluation. After the industrial revoluation toys which made by factories spread wide europe.In the 20. century, toys take a bigger part for development of child. Pedagogic and creative toys appeired in the market.In the 21. Country, remarks electronic and digital toys. The historical change of toy form is exemplified on the baby doll form.Baby doll form is one of the universal toy in terms of pursue the toy from ancient age to nowadays. The first concious human images were the baby figures which were copied from nature. These baby dolls served probably as adoration objects before the children play them.There is a special position of those contrary to artistic statues. There were baby forms in the clay figurins in the Paleolithic Stone Age. Those have shown the properties of an exaggerated woman body. These magic-mistic woman figurins are the symbols of the fertility.In the ancient age it was used the value materials in baby dolls. In the middle ages, special baby types emerged. The baby dolls seem to adults until middle of the 19. century.In the begining of 20. Century the baby doll forms changed with the development of the children pedagogy and spread the views of Frobel and Montessori. In the 21. century, designed babies emerged.In the second chapter of the study, the relation of play and art examined with various thinker?s views.
