Evaluation of the concept of deconstruction through multiple meanings sculpture art

The concept of deconstruction is separated from the understanding of social sciences and culture with a single perspective, many methods and strategies, and expresses the ability to look at the whole more than once. It states that there is no point in remaining fixed in the variability of meaning. It states that there is no certainty of periodic time in any way. This thesis examines how deconstruction finds a place in art and how artists use this narrative language. In addition, the relationship between the whole and the part in art, especially in "sculpture", is questioned on the pluralistic, uncertain and ambiguous idea of the concept of deconstruction. Within the scope of the study, various analyses are made by touching on the effects of the concepts put forward by Derrida on contemporary works of art. Accordingly, the thesis is handled in three sections; In the first section; The formation process of the concept of deconstruction and the concepts of postmodernism, structuralism and poststructuralism that provide its formation are handled in a general framework. In the second section; Under the title of deconstruction in art, the development of the "deconstructive" reading method developed by Jacques Derrida as a concept in the modern and postmodern period is examined and its reflection on art is investigated. In addition, the effects of Derrida's deconstruction method on contemporary art and specifically on sculpture are emphasized. In the third section, the concept is examined and analyzed within the scope of the subject. While applying his ideas regarding the innovations he put forward throughout his artistic life, Daniel Arsham took the concept of deconstruction much further than what is known. Arsham affects the audience with a fictional perception in his works. The idea of going deeper in terms of meaning in terms of perception is adopted. In this study, which adopts structural fragmentation and meaning analysis and goes deeper into the meanings used, the concept of belonging is emphasized and individual applications are expressed and examined by focusing on multiple meanings in sculpture. The concept of belonging is emphasized; individual effects of experienced and witnessed events are interpreted with sculpture applications.
