Analysis of the leisure time habits of teachers in Şanliurfa Halfeti district

This study is designed to determine the leisure time evaluation habits of the teachers working in the district of Halfeti in Şanlıurfa. The research population consists of 516 teachers who worked in Halfeti province of Şanlıurfa between 2014-2015. In the research, the entire universe was tried to be reached, but 386 teachers were reached. As a data collection tools in the research; Questions to determine the demographic information of the participants and recreational activity participation scale.were used. The data obtained in the study were statistically analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 package program. The data was evaluated using frequency, percentage.independent groups t-test, ANOVA and Tukey multiple comparison tests were used.As a result of the questionnaire survey, the leisure time habits of the teachers in the region had positive effects, such as ecstatic.restful and educative, when the answers given to the effects of leisure activities were examined; It does not affect the people in terms of job satisfaction and excitement. It is seen that men prefer activities more, whereas leisure activities do not depend on age and marital status of participantshowever, as age increases, there has been a reduction in the number of participation in the activity. It has also been understood that among leisure activities sub-dimension and leisure activity participation sub-dimensions. Men have higher scores than women, that is, they have more positive effects. According to the marital status, age and number of children, there was no significant difference between the total scores and subscales of leisure time scale of the teachers.
