Importance of cotton agriculture and analysis of cotton cost in Viransehir district of Sanliurfa

Turkey has an important position in cotton production due to the geographical features and climate conditions.The cotton plant is an important source of fiber. Thank to this it has much yield return for our country in terms of economically. The Cotton also called white gold is important plant economic aspect. It is a fiber plant that needs suitable soil structure and loves the sun and also needs water. The cotton are grown in the Mediterranean region and the southeast region the aegean region of Anatolia in Turkey. In our existing regions, fertile production is carried out with rich soil structure and irrigation resources, with the intensity of being sun. Nearly half of Turkey production of cotton are grown in the province of Şanlıurfa. Turkey's Sanliurfa province was carried out in line with the information obtained from Viranşehir district made to Yaban, Sergen, Toklu , Tekneli , Işıldar, Ekindöver , Begrük, Büyük Bardakçı ,Aslan Baba, Ayaklı, Yazgüneşi , Malta, Kap , Eyyupnebi, Güleryüz, Çiftekuyu, Yeşilalıc, Yenice, Dokuzlar and Ceylan face to face with the selected sample group of village found in this study in the district in different locations, which will be conducted to determine the cotton importance and cost analysis of agricultural questionnaire. As a result of the surveydata %2,26 is seed expense, %2,91 is tool equipment expense and %11,56 is fertilization expense, %9,38 is disinfection expense, %15,56 is irrigation expense, %16,49 is harvest expense %4,75 is fuel expense %24,54 is electric expense . The average yield in The Cotton production was determined as 499.5 kg and the sales price was found as 2.85 TL. Considering the problems faced by the producers in cotton farming, the high input costs showed producer victimization. Therefore, it should be ensured that the support of the Government for producer is increased and the Cotton production input costs are reduced, the cotton sales price is increased and cotton agriculture is encouraged more.
