Investigation of sustainable construction and wast management at construction sites

Sustainability, which is an important issue for community and environmental health, is also related to the construction sector. Many environmental impacts occur during the construction, use and demolition phases of buildings. The size of the environmental impact varies according to the size of the building. The construction industry constitutes a large part of the waste generated in our environment. For this reason, the implementation of sustainable construction during construction, use and demolition reduces the damage to the environment. The most important factor of sustainable construction is waste management. Within the scope of the thesis, a project in which waste management was applied was examined. Wastes were sent to various areas by applying waste management hierarchy parameters. Income and expense costs of a project with waste management are calculated. It has been observed that in a project where waste management is applied, our revenue cost will be considerably less than our expense cost.
