Abstract (EN)

Sârim Ibrahim Pasha was born in Istanbul in 1801 and his father was Hafiz Musa Efendi who worked as a Muslim Judge. Firstly, he started for the Couch Secretaria and he was employed for higher up because of his success. He was also one of the interviwer of the newspaper Takvim-i Vekâyi which was the offical press of the Empire. He served twice as ambassador in London. He was sent to Tehran to solve the border issue with Iran. After his duty as Minister of Commerce, Foreign Affairs and Finance, he got up to Grand Viziership position. He carried out this task nearly for four months. He died in Istanbul in 1854 after serving as governor of Bursa and Trabzon.
