Abstract (EN)
This art study report aims to draw attention to the horrors and atrocities of the never ending wars in human history, particularly to the status of women who were exposed to the destructive violence of war. This study evaluates the violence towards women in wars through the scope of the play ''War and Woman'' by Romanian playwright Matei Visniec who analyses the genocide in Bosnia. In this play, Visniec criticizes the 21st century civilization and questions the reason of human existence. The study completes and application of directing with the best dose of folowwing of the methods of contemporary theatre practitioners, by showing both open and closed characteristic of form of dramatic and narrative section as well as of epic dramaturgy and stage-setting along with conventional-realistic-psychological theatric dramaturgy and its stage-setting.
