For the metropolitan settlement places, like İstanbul, the maps and plans of them have very important functions. These functions brings out that the producing of the city maps and plans of İstanbul must be completed as quick as possible. In this study, the accuracy investigation during the map production of İstanbul Metropolitan City's maps, which are necessary for the improvements of environments; the projects of road water and canalization works; tourism and industry investments; and the all technic services, were examined. These maps will be a subsystem for Metropolitan City Major management. These maps have varied aims, and can be practiced into ground. They are also standart ones for the production of other classic maps. They can include necessary source which are needed for the improvements of environments; and all technic subsystems. These have digital and graphical characteristic and high accuracy. With these functions, these maps will attached to the "National Coordinate Geometry Subsystem". Their standart scale is 1/1000, but in the settlement places , the scale is 1/500. In this study, taking the digital example from "The digital Map Production Project of İstanbul Metropolitan City".
