Özet (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to determine the reliable bony formation for the age determination of Cyprinus carpio (L., 1758) inhabiting in Çoğun Dam Lake. 120 individuals were caught from different parts of the reservoir between June 2019 and February 2020. Six different bony structures (scale, vertebrae, asteriscus, lapillus, operculum, and subopercule) were evaluated for age determination. The percentage of agreement (PA), average percentage of error (APE), and coefficient of variation (CV) were calculated from the age data obtained from these structures. The highest percentage of agreement was found asteriscus (PA = 76.8%), lapillus (PA = 53.5%), vertebrae (PA = 49.2%), scale (PA = 44.2%), operculum (PA = 34.2%) and subopercule (PA =%). 31), respectively. The lowest coefficient of variation (CV = 394) and the average percentage error value (APE = 2.79) were found in asteriscus. Therefore, the most reliable bony structure for age determination of C. carpio inhabiting Çoğun Dam Lake is asteriscus.
