Özet (EN)

In this Study ,the effects of Piceatannol(PC) on the lungs of rats against oksidative stress caused by Bleomycin(BLM) have been examined.Wistar male type of rats are divided into 4 groups; 1.control group, 2. group subjucted to only bleomycin toxicity (10 mg / kg), 3.the ones subjected to piceatannol(4 mg/kg) and bleomycin toxicity(10 mg / kg), 4.the ones given only piceatannol(4mg/kg). In the experiments, biochemical techniques have been used and total protein leves in lung tissues have been measured. As an indication of lipid peroxidation, levels of Malondialdehit (MDA) has been measured. SOD , Glutation Peroksidase and Catalase enzym activities have been determined in order to support the findings of lipid peroxidation and decide on the oxidative stress. Biochemical tests show that PC decreases oxidative stress that BLM makes up in lung through cathing free radikals in cells and increases antioxidant capacity of cells. As a result of increased antioxidant capacity in cells, lipid peroxidation diminishes and membrained structure of cells are conserved. Biochemical findings indicate that PC (4 mg/kg) is effective in the prevention of cell damage related to oxidative stress caused by BLM.With this study, in vivo interaction among antioxidat components of BLM , PC and cells is shown for the first time.
